Splitting the Party

Wince and Ness enter a tournament in the Undercity; a battle to the knockout with four rounds. They lose in the second round. Crow is the announcer for this event, along with a Wraith, who haunts the coloseum.

Neon Xavious leaves the party, deciding instead to run a casino. Most of what used to be Union Fivefold's crew now works at the Blood Fountain, in the Undercity. It's quickly becoming one of the most well-known shops in the place.

Harken does work for the church, holding off until the time that Priests of Orcus call him forth to help in the creation of a scroll to summon Orcus. Eventually, he begins the ritual, with seven other priests. The ritual will take a few days.

At the end of the day, all save Harken are in the tavern. Wince decides to go to bed early, and a new face enters the tavern. Captain Tavin "Noboat" McBriarty. He claims his ship was destroyed by a kraken, along with the rest of his crew. The party decides to take him in. He cases the town, stealing a few GP here and there from the unwitting citizens. He spends two days doing this, before setting his sights on higher goals: he hopes to usurp Altea, the Second Priest of the Jury, and become the leader of the Thieve's Guild in the Undercity. He plans this out, setting an elaborate trap for Altea, and enlists the help of Kanaya, to help activate the trap. The trap is successful, and Altea is trapped inside of it and quickly dying, but Noboat didn't expect Altea to bring quite as much backup as he did. Eight Skeletal Tomb Guardians appeared, killing Kanaya and Noboat. Altea made it out safely. He handed some revival scrolls to Crow, for use on Kanaya and Noboat.

Wince and Ness operate as a team, searching the town for Harken, who hadn't said where he was going, to steal the Prism of Io from Harken. They search many places, and eventually come to the Church of Orcus in the center of the Undercity. They sneak past the main cathedral area, and eventually come to a very large spiral staircase. At the bottom sit a Hellknight and a Deathpriest Hierophant, guarding the final door between the two and Harken. They attempt to fight their way through at first, and the two guards summon a Hellwasp to deal with the adventurers. They are overpowered, and decide to abscond, teleporting through the wall into the room where Harken is performing the ritual. None of the people performing the ritual notice their presence, as they are too concentrated on the ritual. They end up behind Harken and about to take the Prism of Io from his pocket, when they suddenly both have a change of heart and decide to leave the Undercity. The two men break off from Final Miniboss, calling their party of two Earthbound, which I like to call Earthbound Stragglers. They head to Krownaughtia's port, selling some things to purchase a Pinnace. Equius pops out of Ness' Handy Haversack and joins the party, and the three head off towards broader horizons.

Crow has always wanted power. He ventures off to the Astral Plane, having a meeting first with Charon, getting a ride across the River Styx. Crow wins a bet against Charon, who now owes him 500GP. He went on to see Umberlee in person, at which point Harken's mind link shut off.

Public Nudity is a Crime, the Recap

In the last session, our heroes ventured to Brova, where Vriska's meteor had landed. They entered the meteor and had a long battle against her, eventually reigning victorious. Their temporary ally, Neon the Minotaur, proved instrumental to their victory when Vriska tried to escape, but he prevented her. The meteor disappeared with her body on it, but Ness obtained one of her eyes, which had seven pupils, and it called for him to implant it in his eye socket. Even without knowing this, Harken and Crow were compelled to put it in him anyway, regardless of his consent.

The group headed back to the port town of Codin on the continent of Inoflashil, to indulge in some of the finer pleasures in life, for example:
-stealing a chest full of deadly plants and smoking them to get high.
-while high, breaking into the mayor's office
-stripping naked in the mayor's office and attempting to assault him
-fleeing the mayor's office, back onto the ship, and dying because of the effects of the plants
-murdering Wolfeye for not casting a spell which Crow requested
-being chased by the guards
-fleeing Codin while swearing to never return
-amassing a total bounty of approximately 130420GP across every country minus a few

After their short and sudden outburst of stupidity, the party headed to Krownaughtia, where they had heard there was a highly influential Cult of Orcus. The rumor turned out to be true, and the nation was entirely run by said cult. To the outside world, the place was said to be deserted aside from a few people, but as it turns out, there is an entire city where the undead and the worshipers of evil deities live. The place is known as The Undercity, and is led by a Cult of Orcus. Harken decided to devote himself to Orcus' cult in an attempt to gain the trust of Orcus himself, and began to do various things for the Cult to gain favor with their people. Harken rose through the ranks of the Church, and is now actually fairly high-ranked.

In The Undercity, Crow opened up a department for pretty much all things evil, including an inn and bar, torture chamber, etc. and has begun to make profit from that. It's a massive building project that is taking up months of work and GP.

Ness has been kidnapping people for use for Crow's means, and has been otherwise plagued with mixed visions from the Raven Queen and the Sevenfold Eye.

Wince has obtained a black dragon egg, and has been researching various different sources in an attempt to determine how long it will take for the egg to hatch. In his research, he found a book about The Prism of Io, the full text of which can be found here.
